New Arrivals and Story update

Image
There are a bunch of new arrivals in Codyland.  These story hopefuls will be going into casting directly to see whom they will be portraying in my story project.  My doll friends are being so kind to donate dolls or doll items to me to get this project off the ground. Have you ever had the feeling that you have bitten off more than you can chew sometimes?  Well, on numerous occasions when I sit and think about all that will be going into this major labor of love.  I get a big lump in my throat.  The usual voices begin there usual parade through my mind.  "Oh, this is just too big." "Who do you think you are to to attempt something like this/"  and so on...  But, despite my own doubts at times, this project is a deeply heart felt one.  Mostly because I am hoping to gain some much needed healing in the areas this project will deal with, secondly I am hoping that it inspires others in many ways.  That is why, I am documenting my process for all who are interested

And the Winner is......

A big thank you to the fifteen of you who played along with my give away.  It was fun to give that a go in celebration of breaking the 200 followers barrier.  So without further ado the winner of the lovely goblin pictured above is Mary from Indy.  Mary you have one week to contact me and give me you mailing information so I can send out your prize.  Congratulations to you and I know he will have a good home. Hope you all are enjoying the first few days of spring.  It still feels like winter here in the Ohio valley.  I think that darn ground hog needs to be sent back to weather school.  Anyway, have a great one and I will be posting progress reports on the project and other things in the days ahead.  So, stay tuned.

Another Year Older and Surpise

Hello to all of my followers out there.  I can't believe I have 205 of you who follow my journey.  Thank you so much for your support and interest into my world.  I am still hosting the give away celebrating this breaking 200 milestone if you want to get in on it you can go here    I thought I would show you a sneak peek of what I have been doing with some of my creative time.  Below is a picture of the first set of furniture I have built for one of my photo scenes.  It is for Coco Channell's apartment.  It is crafted in the mid century modern style.  But, with a few liberties taken for this particular character.  It has been great fun designing the furniture, picking out the fabrics and materials and getting the job done. It is all in 1/6 inch scale to fit the size of the dolls. I have decided that I need to actually make Coco's character as the doll I used just for the test shots is way too big for this scale.  That is alright as I can now remake her the way

Ha Za! 200 Followers A Celebration Give Away

Wowzers, I have reached the milestone of 200 followers.  I am really excited.  So, to celebrate such a great milestone event in blog land.  I am having a give away.  It will be pretty simple.  You just have to be a follower and comment on this post.  I will repeat these two rules at the end. This is the prize of the give away.  It is one of my original sculpts.  He is the first goblin wizard of earth named Yah-yay and is a polymer clay sculpt over a paper mache armature.  He measures approximately 8 inches high.  He is one of my favorites of the goblin series. As a token of my gratitude for all the support and interest in my art, this give away is for the followers.  So, to enter you must 1. Be a follower and 2. Leave a comment on this post with a means to contact you if you win. I will leave this contest open until March 21st.  So, the more you comment the more you have a chance to win.  Thank again for your interest in my art journey. Good luck.
