Paper Dolls?

This months monthly medium challenge at the art store where I work was Yupo paper.  For those of you who aren't aware of what that is, a paper that is made from plastic.  It is really liked by watercolor artists.  I personally do not care for it.  It doesn't take drawing media all that well except for marker or ink.  So my contribution is an articulated paper doll named Gwiddo the monster who wished to much.  I made this image from my scanner.  So that is why he is in a rather odd stance.  I had to fit all of him on the scanner bed.   Good thing he is somewhat pose-able.  Any way hope you find my little guy fun.  I certainly had fun making him.

Onto more research on puppet making.  I think I have discovered a way to merge the doll making techniques I am used to and the technique of rod puppets.  We shall see how it goes.  I am in the process of creating a puppet based blog so I will keep you posted.  Oh, and don't forget to sign up for my give away in the previous post.  Have a great week and thanks for stopping by.

He is awesome Cody. It reminds me of one of the Sendak monsters. Pretty cool.
