Cross post new Goblin

Well, I finally finished the "Spark Twins" goblin piece.  I am posting on both of my blogs because, I am not producing that many goblins at the moment.  There will be a few personal goblins to come in the next few days.  So, here they are and what a pair.  There great delight is making your radio and television signals turn snowy or staticy.  They are made of polymer clay over a wooden armature.  I was gifted a set of three vacuum tubes for Christmas by a friend.  So, I was pondering what I could do with them and this was my first figure idea.  These guys jumped right out of the ole imagination.  I fashioned their base to look like one of those old rabbit ear antennas.  These guys have certainly caused me a great deal of frustration of late with reception of signals of any kind.  Maybe they will go and live with someone else for a while.

Thanks Susie and Dot, I had a great time making these guys. SOrry the pic isn't that good. I am goingt to get one of those photo tents soon.

OK , without further ado here is my entry for the ADO Art Dolls Only challenge The Elements . Please go visit the ADO blog to see some of the great entries for this challenge. Introducing for the first time anywhere, the Mergoblin . He is the first of his kind to grace my blog and studio. Several of his relatives are planning a visit real soon. He is a polymer clay one of a kind sculpt. He has a recycled head that was made for an earlier project. The eyes are fresh water pearls that have been dyed. His tail is made from a type of willow tree. I know the photography isn't spectacular but, I wanted to get him up on the blog in time. Here is a closer view of his head area. This is the other side view. He is mounted on a wooden base suspended by a wire inserted into a brass tube. I painted the brass tube blue to match the stand. This was a fun challenge that got me to think outside my usual box. Hope you enjoy him.

Saying Thank You in a Giveaway

You aren't seeing things.  I have posted this piece before.  But, this time is different.  I wanted to celebrate two things in my little life.  First is hitting 140 followers here on this blog.  I am so honored by the loyal friends who come and visit me and my art goings on.  Thank you for that support and encouragement.  Secondly, a good friend and artist I know really inspired me with her own unique spiritual perspectives on giving.  So, MarZel this is to honor your wonderful contribution to my world as well.
