Hello out there my friends and followers.  I wanted to take a minute to post that I have launched my new blog Alchemy of ME.  It will be a continuing series of lessons from my online class of three years ago called Artspell.  I am offering this to you all at no charge.  It is my way of giving back to all those that inspire me, help me and keep me going.  So, I hope you all will join me along this journey.  You can access it here at

OK , without further ado here is my entry for the ADO Art Dolls Only challenge The Elements . Please go visit the ADO blog to see some of the great entries for this challenge. Introducing for the first time anywhere, the Mergoblin . He is the first of his kind to grace my blog and studio. Several of his relatives are planning a visit real soon. He is a polymer clay one of a kind sculpt. He has a recycled head that was made for an earlier project. The eyes are fresh water pearls that have been dyed. His tail is made from a type of willow tree. I know the photography isn't spectacular but, I wanted to get him up on the blog in time. Here is a closer view of his head area. This is the other side view. He is mounted on a wooden base suspended by a wire inserted into a brass tube. I painted the brass tube blue to match the stand. This was a fun challenge that got me to think outside my usual box. Hope you enjoy him.

Anniversary Giveaway of Sorts

Ok, it's a bit late, but I am hosting an anniversary giveaway here on the blog.  I think this is the four year of my blog and also to celebrate the year of the monster over on the Dark Artists Guild site.  They haven't posted the details yet.  But, it looks like a lot of fun.  So, anyway my little monster ornie is the prize for my giveaway. Saying Thank You in a Giveaway

You aren't seeing things.  I have posted this piece before.  But, this time is different.  I wanted to celebrate two things in my little life.  First is hitting 140 followers here on this blog.  I am so honored by the loyal friends who come and visit me and my art goings on.  Thank you for that support and encouragement.  Secondly, a good friend and artist I know really inspired me with her own unique spiritual perspectives on giving.  So, MarZel this is to honor your wonderful contribution to my world as well.
